Herman Du Bois (b. 31 July 1964) received his Master’s in Applied Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven in 1986 and completed a postgraduate degree in Real Estate in 1995, also at the Catholic University of Leuven. Herman Du Bois is a member of the BIV (Professional Institute of Estate Agents) and hold a MRICS title (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
Herman Du Bois began his career in 1986 as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand). From 1992 to 1994 he held the position of Finance Director for Belgium and Luxembourg in the Swedish real estate investor Aranäs AB. From 1994 to 1997 he was appointed as the general and financial director at the same firm for operations in Belgium and Luxembourg, and he was involved in real estate investments in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands as well as in real estate management and financing operations.
Herman Du Bois then became the managing director of Asset & Property Managers (APM), where he was responsible for the daily management of the organization and customer development. He was also responsible for the development of this independent real estate management organization.
From 2003, Herman Du Bois held the position of director of the asset, property, company, facility and project management division in Belgium and Luxembourg within the Atisreal Group (BNP Paribas Real Estate). He was also the CFO of Atisreal Benelux.
In 2006, he founded the Quares real estate company together with Freddy Hoorens and Anneleen Desmyter. Quares operates in four real estate areas: Agency, Investment, Management and Consultancy. Herman Du Bois is currently a partner at Quares.
